How much weight can I put on my desk?

A Stir Kinetic Desk can accommodate up to 150 lb of equipment.
Can I use a monitor arm with the Stir Kinetic Desk?

If you do not have a monitor with it’s own stand, a monitor arm can be helpful to be sure your head is in a comfortable position. The M1 is 1.125” thick and is designed to accommodate most clamp-style monitor arms available today. The F1 is 3.5” thick so the monitor arm clamp should accommodate that size. Stir does not recommend drilling into the desktop surface for any reason
Can I use a keyboard tray with the Stir Kinetic Desk?

Most people find that when the monitor is elevated, a dedicated keyboard tray is not necessary. The M1 model will accommodate select keyboard tray models with 11” rails. The F1 model does not support a keyboard tray.
How does my desk track how much I sit and stand?

Stir Kinetic Desks use an array of sensors to recognize when a person is at the desk. This enables it to keep track of the extra calories you burn while standing. Using a desk user account synced to the Stir Cloud, you can instantly access existing settings and activity data history by simply logging in to any Stir Kinetic Desk in the world.
How do I assemble my desk?

Stir desks are designed to be assembled easily by you and a friend. It should take about 30 minutes. All needed assembly tools are included with your desk purchase along with printed assembly instructions.
How do I update my desk’s software?

The Stir Kinetic Desk is driven by software. The built-in Wi-Fi connection assures that you’ll receive updates silently in the background if connected. These updates are pushed automatically overnight whenever needed (between 12am-4am PST) and may result in the desk rebooting. Most users will never interact with the update process. You’ll simply approach the desk to work the next morning and the new features will be there waiting! If you are working late and the desk reboots after an update, the process will only take a few minutes. In many cases (minor bug fixes/improvements) you’ll only wait seconds until the screen is back up and ready to use.
Does Stir use any open source software?

Yes, in accordance with certain free and open source software licenses, Stir is pleased to make available to you for download an archive file of machine readable source code ("Source Code"). By downloading the Source Code, you agree to the following: Certain items of independent, third party software code may be included in the Services, including the Product Software, that are subject to the GNU General Public License (“GPL”) or other open source licenses (“Open Source Software”). Open Source Software is licensed under the terms of the license that accompanies such Open Source Software and is not subject to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under, or grants you rights that supersede, the terms and conditions of any applicable end user license for such Open Source Software. Does Stir make an office chair?

No, becuase the desk is completely adjustable it works with any office chair you already have and love!
