JP Labrosse: Stir Founder, CEO
JP is the Founder and CEO of Stir and is an executive leader, product designer, and technology innovator with a 20-year track record of impact and success. Prior to Stir, JP co-founded RayTracker, Inc., a solar tracking company, and served as Vice President and Head of Marketing, Product Development and Biz Dev. At RayTracker, JP led development of the company’s founding business plan, product strategy, and strategic partnerships. RayTracker was acquired by First Solar Inc., the world’s largest solar company at the time. The acquisition was broadly recognized as delivering one of the highest VC investor returns of any acquisition to date in the solar industry.
Prior to joining the solar industry and co-founding RayTracker, JP was one of the first thirty-five employees of the iPod division at Apple, leading the engineering development teams for two of the early iPod programs – the iPod Shuffle and the iPod Classic. Before Apple, JP was one of the first ten employees and Director of Biz Dev for a newspaper publishing startup in Silicon Valley, the Daily News Group, which he helped grow into the largest daily circulation of any newspaper in Palo Alto and the surrounding cities. The company was sold to Knight Ridder with an investor return of 100x. JP holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
